6 WHY In the last years eating disorders are growing up in our society! About 10% of teenagers (mostly girls) are involved with this problems. We can say it’s a hidden problem that comes out only when it’s too late. So all the Institutions have thought to get young people aware of eating disorders through an informative campaign in schools.

7 In the first year the project has involved 9 classes of a Pedagogical Institute TARGET

8 TERM The Project is progressive: It takes 3 years! 1st Year: it involves 9 classes of an Upper9 classes Secondary School 3rd Year: it involves 3 Upper Secondary Schools. 2nd Year: it involves all classes of an Upper Secondary School

9 INVOLVED CLASSES

10 AIMS Our aims were: 1st: Get students aware and inform them about the problem. 2nd: Be aware about the relationship between food and emotions. 3rd: Reflect about cultural elements, prejudice about “obesity” and “thinness” together with students.

11 METHODOLOGY 1. Presentation and administration of questions (Test). 2. Introduction of the subject through a short part of a film. 3. Work-group and communicative approach with students through brainstorming, circle-time,... 4. Final test, in order to see any changes.

15 RESULTS In the other answers, we have noticed that there has been a big increase of knowledge about the problem. And Students’ answers about the causes of the problems are:
