3 What are widgets? It's a small application that can be installed and executed within a web page by an end user. It occupies a portion of a webpage and does something useful with information fetched from other websites.

4 For Engaging Networks This means you can take any action or some data Customise the look and feel And drop it onto almost any website

5 When they are useful Integration into website Can live where we can’t host your pages - homepage Can be distributed almost anywhere URLs can be friendly Can be embedded into social networks Partners or supporters can take the lead - distribution

6 When you might use hosted pages instead If you need dynamic form behaviour If you want complex redirects after form submission If you want to pre-populate supporter data from an email If you want considerable page optimisation

20 Creating a widget Text, layout and user flow is derived from the base campaign If the base campaign is not LIVE (status is New) then the widget will run under TEST mode You will need some CSS knowledge to harness advanced styling options

21 Basic styling Design a background that fits the dimensions of your widget Add branding and space for your copy and form elements to sit Remember to test the whole process
