Carry it from the base with two hands Keep it flat on desk while working, not on your lap or the floor Keep it away or closed on desk while not in use Check ID sticker before taking from class to class Always transport it using carrying case Charge at home, no charging during class time Bring it everyday to class

If you do not have your Chromebook in school…. -You may check one out from the Tech Hub between 7:20-7:40 am -It must be returned by 2:40 each school day

2 What is Netiquette? Netiquette is a set of guidelines for how to appropriately communicate on the internet. While it is important to maintain netiquette in all applications of the internet, good netiquette is highly stressed in , online chat, and forums. As high school students, you will need to be aware of netiquette when using , social networking sites (Facebook), and conducting research on the web.

Golden Rule for Internet Behavior: Treat others as you would have them treat you. It's simple!! Do you want to be bullied, harassed, belittled, or demeaned? No? Then don’t do that to others in person or online. Protect Your Privacy Don't share private information online Don't communicate online with people you do not know or trust Be very careful about what you reveal Protect Your Reputation Choose addresses and screen names that sound professional Use your on-line manners Remember that nothing is ever totally erased, so don’t put it out there in the first place! Protect Your Future Don't believe everything you read on the internet; always check its reliability Document, Document, Document, to avoid plagiarism

4 Protect Your Dignity Don't send it or post it if you wouldn’t say it to someone face to face. Watch your tone. All caps means you are shouting. Never use foul language. Remember nothing is ever totally erased. Protect Your Friends Don't send unwanted s, chain mails, jokes, forwards or spam. Don't send them texts or photos or forwards that could get them into trouble. Protect Your Computer Be careful what you download. It may contain viruses or objectionable content. Beware of "phishing" which are scams that track information on your computer.
