2. Unit Summary There are many natural disasters that occur within our world. You will read informational text on natural disasters then research a specific disaster of your choice. You will identify the causes that lead to the disaster, locate specific information using text features, and analyze how the event affects people’s daily lives and the environment. You will create a “digital report” using music, pictures, and words to present your event to the class.

Nature’s Fury Project This project will help my students develop 21 st century skills through: Accessing information efficiently and effectively, and using information accurately and creatively for the issue or problem at hand Research on the Internet to find information Evaluation of the accuracy and relevance of the information. Evaluation of the relevance of music/pictures to their topic. Composition/creation of a “digital Report” to communicate their learning.
