2 Local Family Support Currently 11 local family support groups across N.I. Since summer 2009 – 5 new area contacts in Antrim, Belfast, Coleraine, Craigavon, Lurgan & Omagh. Promotion of regular family support group meetings Held first Information Evening in Londonderry Area 2 Caravans for family use – Newcastle & Ballycastle Accommodation at RBHSC

3 Annual Family Outings - Family Picnic - Pantomime

4 Fundraising Over 100 Fundraisers in aid of the charity since Jan 2010 Over £150,000 raised From Toddler’s Toddles to climbing Mt Kilimanjaro in Africa.. Highlights included Belfast Marathon Pilot Charity Day ‘Wear Your Heart on Your Sleeve’ (June 10) Gala Balls Selection as Charity of the Year for PwC/ Sainsbury’s. Wedding Favours Team Olly & Fighting Chance

9 Launch of Heartbeat Suite – April 2010 “ The support of the Children’s Heartbeat Trust has been instrumental to the success of the Heartbeat Suite. The Heartbeat Suite allows us to utilise modern tele-medicine technologies. We can now consult with families and parents in their own homes, and it also improves our links with colleagues across the province, enabling us to provide diagnosis for patients in other hospitals too. 10 Children’s MRI Scanner Appeal - - £2,000,000 Appeal for an MRI Scanner in the RBHSC - Benefit all sick children in Northern Ireland - An estimated 1/5 of it’s use would be dedicated to Clark Clinic patients - Committed £200,000 to this Appeal and employee time

11 Transition Service Launch – Dec 2010 rheartz is a Nurse-led Congenital Heart Disease Transition Clinic for 14-16 year olds Children’s Heartbeat Trust are funding elements within this new service such as literature and will be developing the Beating Hearts Teenager Group with advice and support from the cardiac liaison nurses.
