2. People live in many different environments and they need to adapt to the climate. If you live by the ocean you can make money by fishing or using a tug boat.

3. Four very important oceans are the Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Indian ocean, and the Arctic ocean. The Pacific ocean is the biggest ocean of them all.

4. Rivers can help you travel. These days the Mississippi River helps people get from one state to the next by boat.

5. Rain comes down from clouds forming lakes and rivers.

6. Lots of people like to live by oceans or rivers because they get to do sporting activities. People like to swim in rivers or lakes.

7. People can drive through tunnels and on bridges to get to land. However, different islands can only be reached by flying in the sky or sailing on a boat.

8. Did you know that only 3% of the water in the whole world is fresh water that we drink. 97% of the water is salt.

9. Deserts can usually only get 10 inches of rain per year. We all know water is super important but people have lived in deserts for many, many years.

10. Back in the days the explorers had a hard time climbing mountains. Now a days it is easy for explorers to get over mountains because they have equipment.

11. Each kind of landscape is very important like mountains, oceans, and deserts. We need to take care of our landscapes.
