Mark 14 43 A crowd armed with swords and clubs, 46 seized Jesus and arrested him. 50 Then everyone deserted him and fled. 51 A young man, wearing nothing but a linen garment, was following Jesus. When they seized him, 52 he fled naked, leaving his garment behind.

1 Such love, pure as the whitest snow; Such love, weeps for the shame I know; Such love, paying the debt I owe; O Jesus, such love. 2 Such love, stilling my restlessness; Such love, filling my emptiness; Such love, showing me holiness; O Jesus, such love. 3 Such love, springs from eternity; Such love, streaming through history; Such love, fountain of life to me; O Jesus, such love.

2 Very early on the first day of the week 4 the women saw that the stone had been rolled away from the tomb. 5 As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed. 6 "Don't be alarmed," he said. "You are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. 8 Trembling and bewildered, the women went out and fled from the tomb. They said nothing to anyone, because they were afraid. Mark 16

Following his resurrection, Jesus commanded his disciples to “go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.“ (Matthew 28:19-20) In obedience to Christ and in joyful thanks for God’s redeeming love, we gather to baptize our brother and sisters whom the Spirit has led to repentance and faith. Baptism

Jesus was baptized in the river Jordan, and still disciples are called to follow Jesus Christ through the waters of baptism, to be buried and raised in union with him. Here is the grace of God: washed free of sin, disciples of Jesus are immersed into all that God has done in Christ and all that he promises to do through his Spirit. By the one Spirit we are baptized into one body, patterned after the likeness of our Lord Jesus and anointed for his service Baptism
