2. Who was involved? Eight secondary schools were identified They had worked on previous ICT/English projects Teachers were known for their ICT work beyond their own department ASTs – encouraged to develop outreach work

3. Aims of the project To develop the role of ASTs and English teachers with new technologies in English To support ICT teachers in developing the use of ICT technologies within and beyond their own practice To support MFL departments: generating pupils’ speech in the target language To link to the Becta self review framework: procurement of resources that relate directly to school improvement and impact on teaching and learning (Element 2a,b,c) Development since project started: for a variety of reasons, the project embraced other subject areas: 4 schools continued to develop work in the English department;2 schools developed work in DT and maths and 2 were unable to develop the project.
