18) Should a chemical get in your eye, notify the teacher on your way to the eye wash station.

7. 19) You should not wear contact lenses in the lab because chemical vapors could get between your eye and the lens, the lens may fall out, and chemical vapors could interact with the lens itself.
20) Never smell a chemical directly. If instructed to smell a chemical point the container away from your face and gently fan the vapors toward your nose.
21) When heating a test tube, point the test tube away from yourself and others.
