Cell Phone Usage Policy. We will be using cell phones in class for various activities. 1. Students are only allowed to have their cell phones out and use them when Mr. Sutter has given permission. 2. Students may not use their cell phones for anything other then the lesson they are doing in class, including but not limited to taking pictures, texting friends, playing games, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc. 3. Students who use their cell phone’s inappropriately will have their cell phone picked up and a parent must then come to the school to pick it up. Students will then not be able to participate in the class again with their cell phones. 4. Students understand that appropriate behavior is required to continue participating in activities requiring the use of technology including, but not limited to, laptops, IPads, IPods, and cell phones. Appropriate behavior guidelines will be explained during class and include following directions at all times and appropriately participating in classroom activity.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q: Will my student have homework every night in math? A: Yes, your student will have math homework every night. I will usually give at least a 10 minutes of class time to begin their homework, and on rare occasions, students may finish their work at school. You can check your student's assignments by visiting the assignments page for their class.

Q: Does my student need to bring their book to class every day? A: We have a class set of math textbooks that is kept in the classroom for students to use during the day. Therefore, they may leave their math books at home to use for homework and studying.

Q: I would like to help my student with their homework or to study for a test, but I am unsure where to begin. Where can I find additional resources? A: Our math textbook has a great website that offers many resources for you and your student. Each student has access to online tutorial videos, additional examples, interactive quizzes, and more. You can also access the entire book online, page by page. Visit the site at http://gohrw.com and click on "Holt Online Learning".

Q: We would like to speak with you regarding our student's progress in math. How can we get in touch with you or set up a conference? A: I would love to speak with you about your student! If you have a quick question or would like a general update, email is the best way to get in touch with me (jsutter@conroeisd.net). If you would like to have a conference with me, you will need to call the McCullough Counseling Center (832.592.5100) and schedule it through their office.
