5. INGENIO 2010 Goal : reach 2% de GDP in 2010. Increased resources have allowed for a significant increment in the number of scientific publications. The Spanish contribution increased up to 3,05% in 2006 over its relative economic weight. Resources for R+D+i are below UE-15 average Resources for R+D+I as % of GDP

6. Despite the low and negative trend of private R+D funding, the number of patents is increasing. In 2006 there were 1100 requests, a 60% increase from 2004.
