Plotting Points Always start at the origin (0, 0) When plotting points in the x y plane, you are given coordinates in the form (x, y) The first number is always the x-coordinate –Tells you how far right or left to move –Right if positive, left if negative The second number is always the y-coordinate –Tells you how far up or down to move –Up if positive, down if negative

8. Insert a List and Spreadsheet page Insert your data into the spreadsheet. You will want to name the column. To do so be sure you are at the top of the column (above the formula line) and use the alpha keys. To see your spreadsheet and scatter plot on the same page you can select the document button, 5: Page Layout, 2: Select Layout, 2: Layout 2. If you want them on separate pages just insert a new page. At any point you can ungroup the pages through the Page Layout, 8: Ungroup Page. Once you are on the second half of the page (ctrl tab) press Menu, 5: Add Data and Statistics

9. You can move your cursor down to "Click to add variable" or Menu, 2: Plot Properties, 4: Add X Variable. Your Stat Plot will begin to move. You can then move your cursor to the left side to "Click to add variable" or Menu, 2: Plot Properties, 7:Add Y Variable. Note: If you are comparing 2 or more dependent variables you can keep adding more Y Variables by repeating the process. Your window will change to fit the data so pay attention to the scale and intervals!!! To change these use the Menu button, 5: Window/Zoom, 1: Window Settings
