10 Table Saw Safety  Prior to starting the table saw you MUST:  Ask Permission (ALWAYS)  Be ready to work

11 Table Saw Safety  Prior to starting the table saw you MUST: Ensure gauds and anti-kickback Devices are in place Ensure the blade is SQUARE Set the blade height 5mm above the stock to be cut

12 Table Saw Safety  Prior to starting the table saw you MUST:  Ensure you have a push stick at the ready  Ensure that the piece to be cut is at least 12” or 30cm long

13 Table Saw Safety  When ripping wood on the table saw you must:  Place the piece of wood you are keeping - against the fence  Using a push stick – push wood all the way through the blade

14 Table Saw Safety  When cross cutting on the table saw you MUST:  Use the Miter Gauge  Ensure the fence is well clear

15 Table Saw Safety  Never Never Never  Reach over the blade to grab a piece of wood  Make free hand cuts on the table saw

16 Table Saw Safety  Never Never Never  Make any adjustments while the saw is running  Use the fence WITH the Miter Gauge
