Project Overview: Title :“Developing a Green Business Support Strategy for UBCCE” Volume: 130 000 € (30 000 € in kind contribution from UBCCE) Main Goal: Elaboration of a business strategy to help private sector associations and enterprises to respond to multiple challenges and opportunities of climate change in an effective and proactive manner. At the end of the project UBCCE will have a “Green Business Support Strategy” adopted by its General Assembly, published and disseminated Focus: UBCCE Member organizations in Azerbaijan and Ukraine Duration: April 2010 – June 2011

Project Application: Ukraine Workshop, Donetsk, 7-8 October 2010 35 participants mostly local in line with Workshop focus Task Force Meeting - I Workshop Summary Report prepared Drafted “Green Business Support Strategy for Ukraine”discussed and finalized accordingly. Azerbaijan Workshop, Baku, 13-14 December 2010 80 participants (?) local and regional in line with agreed Workshop focus Task Force Meeting - II Workshop Summary Report to be prepared Drafted “Green Business Support Strategy for Azerbaijan”discussed and to be finalized accordingly.

Assembly – Proposed new calendar to be approved May 2011: Workshop in 3rd pilot country to be determined October 2011: Business Forum in Georgia + Workshop in Georgia, 4th c.tbd December 2011: Black Sea Caspian Business Opportunities Seminar with focus on Green Business, Munich, Germany (BAUM + VBW) March 2012: UBCCE G.Assembly – Endorsement of the Final Strategy Final Regional Conference (TÜSİAD, TİSK, BSEC (?)…) May 2012: Publication of the Final Strategy

6. Project Application: Next steps… Scenario 2: With an additional funding from BMU (activities will then depend on the extra amount allocated) Scenario 1 activities +; Workshop in 5th pilot country to be elected – date to be determined Participation to COP 17 (Durban, S. Africa) with a side event – December 2011 In both below scenarios, a prolongation of the Project duration will be necessary. Subject to confirmation by GTZ and BMU. Other propositions on the project… Publication of every single country strategy to be prepared as seperate booklets. ……………
