2.  This year, I have learned a lot in Mr. Mixon’s science class. I have learned about density, the three stages of matter, elements, atoms, eukaryotic cells and the organelles inside them, mitosis (process of cell division), active/passive transport, and (what we are currently learning) DNA structures/genetics.  My favorite part of science is genetics/DNA because it's interesting to see how the DNA uses substances to create what you look like. It is also interesting because just a small mistake could change how your body functions and could give you a disease. I like to know what makes you different (physically) from other people.  My least favorite part of science is matter and the densities that go along with them. I think it’s not interesting because learning about what temperature substances change from liquid to solid and vice versa is boring. I don’t find much use for knowing when liquid changes into gas in Fahrenheit and Celsius.

4. Rate yourself on your ability to complete all the assignment for class. Why?  I would rate myself a 5 because I always complete the assignments and turn them in on time.

5. Rate yourself on your class time effort & positive contributions to class discussions. Why?  I would rate myself a 4 because during class I always do my best to complete the assignment. But I do not always contribute to class discussions.

6. Rate yourself on your ability to work with others in class. Why?  I would rate myself a 4 because I usually work well with others in class. Sometimes I lose my patience which sometimes leads to doing most of the work by myself.

7. Describe items you want to improve upon for the next quarter/year. Why?  I would say a 3 because I have some skills I want to improve on. These include group skills and project creativity. As I said on the previous slide, I sometimes don’t distribute the work evenly. I want to be able to come up with better and more interesting project ideas/formats.

8. Describe what went well in this school year. Why?  I would rate it a 4 because I did very well with classwork and homework, but I also had a hard time adjusting to how the class runs in the beginning of the year. But I did get more used to it later on and now I am more confident with projects, classwork, homework, and labs.
