2 Ballast - noun The hot air balloon rose when the water used as ballast was let go. Predict the meaning of the word. Definition: Heavy material used to make a ship steady or control the rising and falling of a vessel like a balloon

3 Buoyant – adj. The life jackets are buoyant enough to support a 200-pound person. Predict the definition of the word. Definition: Able to float; Cheerful and carefree
