2. Building of the Beta-release The integration team should be in the same place for 2-3 weeks Install on one and then build a small local grid Add middleware software on top Test functionality and different configuration options First beta-release

3. Expansion Extend the local grid to remote sites in a controlled way: Lyon, piecewise addition First time for real grid testing Site admins deeply involved. Coupling sites and have them pass given tests before integration with the main grid. The integration team keeps this process under control.

4. Validation Open the DataGrid to limited application testing (in case we need some reiteration on the beta-release). Semi-production: wide scale application testing. Need for dedicated grids for further testing/development. 2 Main Steps:

5. Support The Integration Team has a “long term” commitment. It is the core support team for site admins and the Validation Team for DataGrid. Users: The site admins are the primary point of contact for operational problems. The Validation Team is the primary point of contact for application support. The Core Services give support for Globus configuration and management.
