Only 3 students can choose the same person/group.  Each day in the computer lab, you will focus on gathering information on one particular part of that person’s life using Cornell notes for organization.  Your research will be used on upcoming assignments (essay and presentation), so it is important to be detailed and thorough with your research.

3. HW: Read 25 minutes and finish summary of Cornell Notes on Civil Rights Leader’s FAMILY HISTORY 1. Log in- GO TO MY WEB PAGE, CLICK ON 3 rd quarter assignments, CLICK ON CIVIL RIGHTS POWERPOINT 2. Go to website http://www.biography.com/ and type your person’s name in the search box. Then, click on the link that says PEOPLE. You may also use http://www.notablebiographies.com/. There you will find information. You may use additional websites (.org,.edu,.gov, or check with me if you find one) REMEMBER YOU MUST WRITE DOWN THE SITE!http://www.biography.com/ http://www.notablebiographies.com/ 3. Research about your leader’s family history using the following headings in the LEFT COLUMN of your Cornell notes:  Date and place of Birth  Mother and Father (who, occupations, etc.)  Brothers and Sisters  What type of family life? 4.
