2 What Is a Mag Lev Train? It is a really fast train that appears to “float” above the tracks as it quickly runs along. A Mag Lev train “floats” above the ground by two poles that are the same, either north and north or south and south. The poles repel each other to allow the train to levitate .The train can travel up to 300 miles per hour, due to the fact that it has no friction on the tracks. They are built with two beams. Each beam is built with a propulsion coil, levitation and guidance coil, and a wheel support path.
