2 Not the leader of any country – he is not even a dictator. He is the leader of a terrorist organization called al- Qaeda, which means “the base”. Osama Bin Laden

3 al-Qaeda – “the base” This terrorist organization was founded in 1988 by Osama Bin Laden. Members of Al-Qaeda are recruited from all over the world – particularly in the Middle East. They are extreme Muslim fundamentalists, meaning they are Muslim – but practice EXTREME forms of the religion. Most Muslim people are NOT terrorists.
