2 Writing – part 1 In this part you have to complete the second sentence so that it means the same as the first sentence. This part is NOT about writing. It is about GRAMMAR. The questions are TRANSFORMATIONS, for example changing a sentence from passive to active. You can use ONE, TWO, or THREE words ONLY.

3 Writing – part 1 There are five transformation questions to answer. Each question is worth 1% of the total PET mark. A spelling mistake in an answer means a zero for that question. You only have 5 - 10 minutes to complete Part 1 so you have to be fast.

Check you understand the meaning of it and then read the second sentence and find the grammar and vocabulary that are the same and different in both sentences.
