3 Grammar: Comparative Adverbs Compares two verbs or adjectives. Most adverbs that end in “ly”use more rapidly....more rapidly frequently.....more frequently beautifully.....more beautifully

4 Grammar: Comparative Adverbs Compares two verbs or adjectives. Some adverbs use -er hard....harder early.....earlier late.....later fast....faster

5 Grammar: Superlative Adverbs Most adverbs that end in “ly”use most fluently....most fluently frequently.....most frequently beautifully.....most beautifully Compares three or more verbs or adjectives.

6 Grammar: Superlative Adverbs Some adverbs use est hard....hardest early.....earliest late.....latest fast....fastest Compares three or more verbs or adjectives.

16 Informative Essay Idea: Write a recipe. Pick something you know how to make, or like to eat, and explain how to cook it. List the needed supplies. Give directions in order, using words such as first or next. Draw a picture of the finished dish, or search for a photo on the Internet.

17 Writing: Informative Essay Look in your written assignment folder for an example of a recipe. There is also a rubric that helps you check to see if your essay has all that it needs. Remember, when you write directions, you are writing in the second person. The “you” is implied.
