6. China  Do you think it was easy of hard for the people of China to make contact with people of other civilizations? Why or why not?

Ancient China  The Huang He (Yellow River) and the Chang Jiang (Yangtze River) are the main rivers in China.  Civilization first began along the Yellow River and spread to other parts of China.  The ancient Chinese did not know about the Egyptians, Romans or Greeks.  They called themselves the “Middle Kingdom” because they believed they lived at the Center of the World.
