2.  Service-learning is a teaching method that combines service to the community. It is more than just community service. It is a hands on approach to mastering subject material while developing civic responsibility.

3.  Engaged me in active learning  Increased my awareness of the community and how to involve it in my academic schedule  Improved my personal skills and taught me selflessness  Helped me develop civic responsibility through active community involvement

4.  I was a part of the Blazer Raiser. This event was a fundraiser for the VSU Tennis Team.  I also sang and participated in the “Bid For Bachelors” in Albany, GA. All of the money raised went to the Autism Center in Albany.

6. This is a picture of me singing at the “Bid For Bachelors” event in Albany, GA. This is an event to raise money for the Autism Center in Albany. I sang four songs and also got auctioned off for a date. I raised $875 for the Autism Center and had one a very good time.

7. This is a picture of me singing at the Blazer Raiser. This is an event to raise money for the Valdosta State Tennis Team.

8.  The Blazer Raiser is a two day event. On the first day all of the VSU tennis supporters have a gathering and bid on their favorite tennis player so they can play in a tournament with them on the next day.  This event was a very fun time for the tennis players, the supporters and the helpers such as myself.

9. These are the tennis players that were supported in the Blazer Raiser.

10.  Community Service for me was a fun learning experience. Everyone around was so helpful and it did not feel like a real job while doing the community service.

11.  I learned a lot of values from my service learning.  I learned not to do everything for myself and take sometime out of my life for others.
