2 Professional Goals One of the most important and significant professional development activities you can engage in is collaboration with others. As you plan, consider ways that you and other teachers can collaborate.

3 Professional Goals Excellent teachers—
Must know the subject matter well and be passionate about it. Without mastery and clarity of thought, it would be difficult to explain clearly to students. Are able to relate the subject matter and demonstrate its relevance to students. Arouse the students' interest in the subject matter. Help students interact with the subject matter and learn for themselves.
