(needs addressed - problems solved): Low participation rate in the vocational education in CZ, SK, RO As a result of short tradition of lifelong learning. Non-existence of recognised quality standards No practical impact of vocational education in professional lives, employers do not accept the results of lifelong learning programmes. Transparency and recognition of qualifications Slow recognition of qualifications changes. Scope of vocational educational programmes offered in CZ, SK, RO (Key competences transmitted as set out in the European Reference Framework) Ensuring a qualitatively higher and more attractive vocational education Interest people to participate in the lifelong learning system. * Logo of the project EBC*L

(process – implementation): Courses preparing candidates for the EBC*L examination were conducted by local training organizations and higher education institutions (called examination centers) Building pools of trainers, seminars and ensured trainings of trainers. National representative offices made an interview with potential trainers or addressed trainers with corresponding qualification and experiences. Workshops for project leaders and their assistants realized in the examination centers. * Examination center in Krnov (CZ)

(actors): Job seekers, unemployed, employed, self employed, pupils (approximately 1600 participants in the pool of 37 exam centers, minimum of 2 exams for 10 – 15 candidates from target group each year) Vocational training centers, universities and high schools (application for an accreditation on Ministry of Education, implementation of the EBC*L education into official education plan) * Participants of the training courses EBC*L

6 Leonardo da Vinci Innovation Projects - European Priorities 6. What did the project achieve? (results with regard to European priority): Introduced the standard of vocational education and training in three new EU countries Database on websites for gaining detailed information about preparatory courses and exams; Opening EBC*L certification system for all people without any differences. Participation of local vocational education institutions in international network. EBC*L system was established and disseminated in CZ, SK, RO Participation of potential candidates and users on preparatory courses. Establishment of 37 exam centers in 28 cities and their accreditation. Cooperation of the EBC*L network on regional and national level. Project increased the number of European countries in which the qualification is recognized 26 countries established the EBC*L system. Didactical materials are available in 23 languages. * The recognition EBC*L in the world
