2 The pyrheliophoro was invented in 1900 by portougese scientiste Manuel António Gomes known as Father Himalaya.

3 Manuel António Gomes Father Himalaya Born in 1868, in Cendufe Father Himalaya was only seventeen when he built a machine that could transform nitrogen and increase the fertility of the soil

4 He was a priest, a vegetarian, a Nature lover, a self trained biologist and a practitioner of natural medicine. He became member of the Portuguese Science Academy. He died in 1933 in Portugal.

9 Use of pyrheliophoro To provide energy: –for the production of hot water or steam –for industrial processes

10 Pyrheliophoro was made in 21st century. It was presented in British television miniseries James May's Big Ideas.

11 This invention way extremely important because it was the base of the creation of the first solar collectors and photovoltaic modules. Despite this enormous success, the Pyrheliophoro has never been commercialised.
