2. General facts There are around 1590 wild pandas in the world. Almost all of the wild ones live in China. Its biological name is Ailuropoda melanoleuca.

3. Food Pandas mostly eat bamboo. In fact, 99 percent of their diet is bamboo. Pandas will also eat grass, roots, other plants and even meat. But, pandas are not really made to eat bamboo and can´t really make a lot of energy from bamboo. Therefore it has to eat 9 to 14 kg bamboo per day.

4. Panda reproduction Pandas are mammals, and therefore give birth to living children.
