2 Geography The absolute location is 33 50 N,35 50 E The relative location is middle east, bordering the Mediterranean Sea People use cars, trains, and plains to get around Lebanese Mountains Assi and Litani rivers Bekka Valley Mount Hermon This is a map showing Lebanon's major cities and capital

3 History In 1975 the Lebanese Christians and Arabs fought a 15 year long war In the 1940s Lebanon finally gained independence from France In the 4 th century Christianity became a major religion in Lebanon This is a picture taken during the 15 year long civil war

4 Economy Lebanon is a devolved country 85% of people live in urban areas 94.9% of people have jobs in industry and commerce 5% of people have jobs in agriculture Over 50% of people own cars The life expectancy is 73.41 years US per capita GDP is 48,000 and Lebanon’s is only 11,100 This is a picture of a Lebanon city in the back are apartments where most people live
