2. MERITEMATIC TISSUE The tissues having dividing cells that help in growth. These are of three types- 1.Apical tissue 2.Intercalary tissue 3.Lateral tissue

3. PLANT TISSUES The tissues which are present in plants are called PLANT TISSUES. These are of two types- 1.Merismetic tissues. 2.Permanent tissues.

4. APICAL TISSUES-These tissues are at shoot or root tip. It increases the length of the stem and the root. INTERCALARY TISSUES-These tissues are at the base of leaves or enter nodes. LATERAL TISSUES-These tissues are at the sides of the stem.

5. PERMANENT TISSUES The tissues having cells that have lost their ability to divide and have differentiated. It is of three types- 1. Parenchyma tissues 2. Collenchyma tissues 3.Sclerenchyma tissues
