3 Grammar: Daily activities based on the Grammar and Language CCCS. Spelling: Daily activities with pre assessment on grade level words Writing Workshop: I. Mini lesson- model strategies of good writers II. Process Writing-student writes on a topic of their choice based on a certain genre. Pre-Write- brainstorming Draft Revise Edit and Publish Evaluate and Share III. On Demand Writing- students writes about a specific topic within a short period of time. IV. Conferring with Students – teacher works with student on their individual writing goals. Assessments: Grammar Spelling Dictation Pre and Post Writing Pieces On Demand Pieces Writing About Reading Writing

5 The Cheetah Pride program was developed by the teachers to teach the six pillars of character education and reward students who demonstrate those characteristics in school, on the bus, and during B.O.O.S.T.. Each student receives a membership card and at the end of each month students receives a certain colored star based on the criteria they meet. Students who receive Top Honors or improve their grades receive a Cheetah Plus Star as well. Cheetah Pride Character Education Program
