22. Drill Rig Vacuum Bases Recommended for 8” diameter holes or less
Turn machine on it back and insert vacuum seal under machine back
Turn drilling machine upright and loosen the 4 leveling screws
Plug cord into grounded outlet and turn pump switch on
Make sure vacuum gasket is firmly in place under rig base

23. Vacuum Anchor Method-to-Floor
Insert vacuum slot cap into anchor bolt slot and check hose connections
Machine should now be vacuum anchored
Adjust the 4 leveling screws to eliminate rocking
After use, turn drill motor off, unplug and remove

24. Operating a Drill Rig Align rig for desired hole
Securely anchor the rig
Level the rig
Select drill speed for specific size bit (never change speed while drill is spinning)
Connect power and water
Turn water valve on (1 to 2 gallons per minute)
Turn drill on and begin to drill (full load after crown has penetrated surface)
