10. General Conclusions Neither Aspropirgos or Loutropirgos is heavily polluted. That can be explained by the existence of an island called Psitalia in which all the wastes are accumulated and primary treated.

11. Specialised Conclusions: Dissolved O 2 > in Loutropirgos Chlorophyll > in Aspropirgos Nitrates > in Loutropirgos → So Aspropirgos is more polluted than Loutropirgos.

13. Ways to Prevent Water Pollution Action should be taken to clean Kifissos river. This could be achieved by putting filters in the water so that the wastes won’t reach the sea. Secondary Biological Cleaning should be done in Elefsina’s Bay
