4. Let us call upon God, trusting in His unchanging character to encourage and sustain our Egyptian brothers and sisters.

5. Leader: God our Rock, provide stability and refuge for those most vulnerable to attack from extremists. All: May they cling to you – God our Rock.

6. Leader: God our Fortress, provide safety and shelter for those who have fled their homes. All: May they be hidden securely in you – God our Fortress.

7. Leader: God our Shield, provide protection for your church, so that it may continue to show the love of Christ to all. All: May the church proclaim the Gospel guarded by you – God our Shield.

8. Leader: God our Strength, provide encouragement and hope for those imprisoned for their faith. All: May they endure hardship upheld by you – God our Strength.

9. Leader: God our Deliverer, provide rescue for our sisters who have been abducted, abused and mistreated. All: May they be returned safely to their families by you – God our Deliverer.

10. Leader: God our Stronghold, provide the defence your people need against the injustice of their legal system. All: May they face inequality knowing they are protected by you – God our Stronghold.

11. All: Unchangeable God, worthy of praise, may your Spirit move within us and inspire us to bear the burdens of our persecuted brothers and sisters and see them saved from their enemies. Amen
