As a wedding present, Jupiter gave them a box that they could not open. Pandora became increasingly curious about what was in the box. Jupiter knew that the curiosity would overcome Pandora. Pandora finally opened the box and let out flying, stinging creatures named Disease, Hate, Anger, Old Age, and many more. By the time she closed the box, only Hope remained inside.
