Biography on Ashley Sturm Ashley Sturm was born here in Salem, on December 4th 1986. She’s 24, almost 25! She attended Chemeketa Community College in 2007, she then graduated from Hallmark in the summer of 2008. Her work appears in her blog, and she has a studio called Studio I 430, It's located in downtown Salem, on Ferry street. the address is 430 Ferry St SE. Picture #1 The lighting in this picture is a natural light which is outside, the light is coming from kind of the side of her. The main subject of this photograph is the girl, you can tell because everything else is kind of blurred out. This composition mainly what catches me is the rule of thirds and it works because it shows where she is and the natural look. I chose this picture because of the lighting it uses and I just like the way she took it.
Picture #2 The lighting in this picture is a natural light, the light source is coming from behind her. I like this lighting but I think it might be a little better if it was more off to the side. The main focus of this picture is the person, you can tell because she’s like right up front and that’s what catches your eye. I think the striking part about this photo is the lighting I think it distracts from the girl and should have been at a different angle. I chose this photo because of the lighting and the way it was took. I like the photo but in my opinion the lighting and angles could have been better if they were different.
Picture #3 The lighting in this picture is a natural light. It’s coming from in front of her. I think that this lighting is perfect for this angle. The main subject in this photo is the girl. You can tell because everything else is sort of blurred out. The texture of this photo really works because of the trees and the way you can see her hair moving with the wind. I chose this photo because I really like it. I think it’s really cute.
Picture #4 The lighting in this picture is in natural light. It is coming from in front of her but also a little towards the side. In this picture the main subject is the person. The way you know that the main subject is her, is because everything is focused around her. The composition helps this photo because of the of the lines everywhere. I selected this photo because I thought it was nice and I liked the lines it used and the light.
Picture #5 The lighting in this photo is natural and coming from behind her. The main focus is the girl, you know this because everything is not showed as much as her and everything else is blurred a little. I chose this picture for its lighting and I think that it a very nice picture. The only thing I don’t like is that the light takes away from her.
