Unit 4 Integrating skills Songs and Poems Charles Huang

Down By The Salley Gardens -------William Butler Yeats Down by the salley gardens my love and I did meet; She pass’d the salley gardens with little snow-white feet. She bid me take love easy, as the leaves grow on the tree; But I, being young and foolish, with her would not agree. In a field by the river my love and I did stand, And on my leaning shoulder she laid her snow-white hand. She bid me take life easy, as the grass grows on the weirs; But I was young and foolish, and now am full of tears.

Dust of Snow - by Robert Frost The way a crow Shook down on me The dust of snow From a hemlock tree Has given my heart A change of mood And saved some part Of a day I had rued

RIGHT HERE WAITING - by Richard Marx Oceans apart, day after day, And I slowly go insane. I hear your voice on the line, But it doesn't stop the pain. If I see you next to never, How can I say forever? Wherever you go, whatever you do, I will be right here waiting for you; whatever it takes, or how my heart breaks, I will be right here waiting for you.

A Red, Red Rose--Robert Burns O my luve is like a red, red rose, That's newly sprung in June; O my luve is like the melodie That's sweetly played in tune. As fair art thou, my bonnie lass, So deep in luve am I; And I will luve thee still, my dear, Till a' the seas gang dry.

Till a' the seas gang dry, my dear, And the rocks melt wi' the sun; And I will luve thee still, my dear, While the sands o'life shall run. And fare thee weel, my only luve, And fare thee weel awhile; And I will come again, my luve, Tho’ it were ten thousand mile!

My Love----Charles Huang Oh, my love, you’re like a red rose, That’s newly sprung in June; 六月里花蕾初绽 ; my love you’re like the melody 我的爱人, 你像一支乐曲 That’s sweetly played in tune. Your kisses could make love grow 你的吻能令爱情茁长 Like an evergreen tree; 成为一棵长青树

Bloom in the summer sun 不论在夏日或冬雪中 And the winter snow. So beautiful are you, my lovely girl So deep in love am I; 我爱你是多么深切 ; I will love you still, my dear, 我会爱你到永远, 亲爱的人儿, Till all the seas run dry.

And the rocks melt with the sun! My love, I will love you still, While the sands of life shall run. My only love, fare you well a while, 我唯一的爱人, 让我们小别片刻 ; I will come again, my love, 我会回来的, 我的爱人, though it were ten thousand mile!
