3 What is meant by classifying?
Classification is a process categorizing something according to shared characteristics. It is mainly used in classifying animals and plants in taxonomic groups. Naming the different groups of categorization is the final part of classification.

4 How can we classify plants?
Plants belong to the PLANT KINGDOM (PLANTAE), one of the five kingdoms of living things. Plants are classified into smaller groups, according to shared characteristics. All plants share certain features.

5 How can we classify animals?
By comparing the features of different animals they have been able to classify them further, dividing each of the kingdoms into smaller groups.

7 Vertebrates Animals with backbones are called vertebrates.
They include many different kinds of animals And can be found just about everywhere – in oceans, rivers, forests, mountains, and deserts. Animals with backbones can be broken up into smaller groups by characteristics.

10 What is a Plant Kingdom (Plantae)?
The Plantae includes all land plants: mosses, ferns, conifers, flowering plants, and so on—an amazing range of diverse forms. With more than 250,000 species, they are second in size only to the arthropoda.
