Just a Minute! Can any of you talk for one minute without repetition, deviation or hesitation on the topic of “Pets”?

Genesis 1:26-28 God spoke: "Let us make human beings in our image, make them reflecting our nature So they can be responsible for the fish in the sea, the birds in the air, the cattle, And, yes, Earth itself, and every animal that moves on the face of Earth." God created human beings; he created them godlike, Reflecting God's nature. He created them male and female. God blessed them: "Prosper! Reproduce! Fill Earth! Take charge! Be responsible for fish in the sea and birds in the air, for every living thing that moves on the face of Earth."

Genesis 2:5-7 At the time G OD made Earth and Heaven, before any grasses or shrubs had sprouted from the ground—G OD hadn't yet sent rain on Earth, nor was there anyone around to work the ground (the whole Earth was watered by underground springs)—G OD formed Man out of dirt from the ground and blew into his nostrils the breath of life. The Man came alive—a living soul!

Luke 12:6 "What's the price of two or three pet canaries? Some loose change, right? But God never overlooks a single one.” God does care about animals too!

The Difference These two passages suggest two things: Firstly, human beings have a “soul” and they are created in the image of God (“imago Dei”) Secondly, human beings have power over creation, they have authority.

Power and ResponsibilityPower and Responsibility (video) Human beings were created with power over the animals, but they also have responsibility. Given both of these things what might a Christian think about: – Vegetarianism – The use of fur/leather – Animal testing Choose one and write down a Christian response – try to explain both possible views

“I have the right to do use animals however I want” What might a Christian say to someone in response to this? Make your answer as full as possible, giving examples.
