3 Objectives:  The students will be able to evaluate how words and phrases shape the meaning and tone in texts in order to perform research on the internet.

If so, explain.

5 Focus Lesson: Website Eval.  Evaluation Domains (con’t.)  Content  Accuracy of information?  Inclusion of references for backup?  Cross check references?  Design  User friendliness?  Ease of navigation?  Ease of reading?  Use of graphics?  Internal search capabilities?

6 Focus Lesson: Website Eval.  The task: use Google to find 3 websites about the Puritans in Salem, Massachusetts suitable for research. Prove their viability by using the web site evaluation form. In order to receive full credit, your form must include:  A score for each of the domains using the rubric indicated  At least 1 phrase justifying each score
