Research based teacher evaluation program that promotes instructional strategies that have shown to have the greatest impact on student achievement. Utilizes teacher evaluations as a way to implement and improve best instructional practices in order to increase student learning. Identifies a complete set of practices directly related to improved student performance, organized into four domains that develop teacher growth and expertise.

The causal effect between the elements of the model and student achievement is validated by decades of data analysis.

10 W HAT IS I O BSERVATION ? iObservation is a technology based instructional and leadership improvement system. Compatible with Marzano and Danielson. It collects, manages and reports longitudinal data from classroom walkthroughs, teacher evaluations and teacher observations. Monitors teacher/leader growth plans: Individual learning needs for every teacher and leader to increase his/her classroom effectiveness each year.

11 H OW DOES I O BSERVATION HELP ? Increase efficiency with an automated and systematized process. Create focus for busy instructional leaders by providing content resources like classroom videos that identify effective practices. Make data-based decisions informed by real-time reports. Send effective feedback to teachers that encourages reflection and supports growth. Can be used with laptops, iPads or any other device.

13 C OST The total cost to implement the Marzano program for E.V. school was $5,200.00 Cost included The Art and Science of Teaching by Robert J. Marzano including the iObserve workbook for all licensed staff. On-line videos, support and training. Leadership Model, training and materials. Training: Held at NJPA (National Joint Powers Alliance) in Staples for a leadership team of 5-10 which also includes monthly training opportunities throughout the first two years of implementation.
