3 Goal: You will design a 3-day bicycle trip that you will lead during summer break! Role: You will choose and organize the route and consider related costs. Audience: This trip is designed for potential customers who are interested in bicycle vacations! Situation: You must create a trip that an actual person can physically complete as well as pay for. You must also make money by leading the trip. Project: You will create a business plan outlining the route, trip highlights, expenses, income, etc. THE TASK:

4 Executive Summary - Tell us why your trip is the best one to take - Sell yourself as the best bicycle tour guide Trip Highlights - Word description of the exciting features of your trip. Sell your trip! Location - Word description of route - Detailed map of route - Includes: Beginning Point, Ending Point, Day 1 Stop, Day 2 Stop Timeline - Table and graph of distance and time for each day’s travel Customers - Describe what type of person you are designing this trip for (ages, gender, other) Expenses - Word description of all costs that you will need to begin this business - Table and graph of expenses Income - Word description of what you plan to charge potential customers - Table and graph of income Break-Even Analysis - Word description comparing your expenses and income - Graph of break-even analysis THE BUSINESS PLAN

Step 4: Choose a route, map the detailed route (computer) Step 5: Write about your route – description and highlights (computer) Step 6: Create a timeline of your route each day OVERVIEW Step 7: Research your expenses for leading a trip. Create table, graph, and equation of expenses. (computer) Step 8: Research your income for leading a trip. Create table, graph, and equation of income. (computer) Step 9: Break-even analysis - create a graph Step 10: Final touches – Executive summary and potential customers. Step 11: Sell your trip – share your work!
