2 Bonding Review  Ionic vs. Covalent Bonding: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqjcCvzWw ww https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqjcCvzWw ww  Octet Rule - a chemical rule of thumb that states that atoms of main-group elements tend to combine in such a way that each atom has eight electrons in its valence shell, giving it the same electronic configuration as a noble gas.

3 Periodic Table Review  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xd4-Uy2FLWc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xd4-Uy2FLWc

4 Quiz Review  Complete the two review card sorts. Have Ms. Wasson check when you finish.  Study for the quiz tomorrow on the following topics: 1. Properties of Metals, Non-Metals and Metalloids (be able to list many of each) 2. Draw a Bohr Model (like Galium) 3. Draw a Lewis Structure/Electron Dot (like Barium) 4. Ionic and Covalent Bonding (Draw the bond, write the formula) a) Example 1: Hydrogen and Hydrogen b) Example 2: Boron and Bromine 5. Write ion charges (oxidation numbers): such as for Nitrogen, Oxygen, Magnesium, Helium 6. Tell whether acid, base or neutral: NaCl, HCL, NaOH 7. pH indicators – be able to explain and identify them 8. Know everything about groups (group names, most reactive, least reactive, largest group, etc.) 9. Know many different ways the periodic table classifies the elements (be able to list at least 4-5)
