3 Freshmen Requirements Language Arts 9 Math Physical Science American History Physical Education & Financial Literacy Elective Credits Minimum credits needed for promotion to 10 th grade=5 *Required courses must be passed or repeated

5 Curriculum Guide - Write name on guide - Write name on guide –Keep guide all 4 years in high school This guide will give you information such as: Athletic Eligibility, Testing/PSEO, College Core Curriculum, Award Criteria, Course Offerings and Description, etc. –What is a credit? How do I earn them? –Difference between Graduation Requirement and Electives –What is a pre-requisite?

7 PE/Health/Financial Literacy If you choose the PE Waiver, you will take Health and Financial Literacy your 9 th grade year PE Waiver- students who elect to participate in 2 years of ROTC and/or 2 sports/band seasons may be excused from the PE requirement Complete PE Waiver Form

8 Coming Up with a Plan Choose courses that will prepare you for your post- high school plans. Discuss your decisions with parents, teachers and counselors. Review course descriptions and pre-requisites in the Curriculum Guide Review academic reward criteria if you are striving to earn any of the following awards: Honors Diploma, Distinguished Scholar

9 Course Selection Sheets Each student must choose 8 classes and 4 alternates Alternate choices will be used in the event of a scheduling conflict. Teachers have prepared recommendations for the classes you will need to take next year and indicated these on your course selection sheets

10 Course Selection Sheets How does the math sequence work? Why should I do a 4 year plan? Why should I list alternates? Make sure you talk to parents and teachers about your courses before selecting them

11 2013-2014 GREEN HIGH SCHOOL ONLINE SCHEDULING INSTRUCTIONS

12 STEP 1: https://daslpublic.neonetda.org Usernames and Passwords are case sensitive. User Name: b.trial.DC5D Password: 82FB8B843A Enter and click log in STEP 2: Select Specify Course Code

13 STEP 3: Enter the course numbers from your registration sheets. Put a comma after each series of numbers. Do not leave spaces. When you are finished, click the search button. STEP 4: Your requested courses are displayed. If you need to add another course, enter the course number then click request selected courses. When everything is correct, click request selected courses. If you entered a course in error, uncheck the box.

14 STEP 5: OPTIONAL Adding Alternative Choices for Electives 2 more year long classes and 2 more blocked Click pencil Select the Alternative Choices from the drop down menu Click save STEP 6: You will receive a message that the selected requests were added successfully. Click review requests.

15 STEP 7: To submit your requested courses for the 2013-2014 school year Click Submit Request STEP 8: This is a ONE time submit. Course Request cut off date is March 8th, 2013 Please call the Guidance Office at 330-896-7545 if you are experiencing difficulties. Click PRINT and Log Out
