1 Professional redeployment programme through an accredited training. Main steps of an ambitious project achieved in collaboration between France Telecom (historical and principal french operator) as the contractor and Enic – Telecom Lille 1 as the project manager.

3 The context In the early 2000, meet with an exemplary answer the huge increase in IP traffic. Because of its organization and society, the company wants to rely on its own internal human resources. The aim : to get technical executives, experts in networks but on non priority jobs, to adapt to the new technologies. The point is to set up a professional redeployment process, demanding an external qualification.

4 Specifications Professional redeployment process relying on target jobs identification and on skills reference lists. Consideration of organizations and of real professional situations. To make use of leading e-learning technologies. Flexible but structured organization for an easier adaptation to the different trainees’ specific environments. 1/2

5 Specifications 2/2 Requirements to take into account - Organize selection of the applicants - Set up training engineering - Carry out coordination and consistency of the different actors. Quality requirements will be controlled permanently by the contractor.

6 An answer in adequation : a new pedagogical approach A work-based learning only can offer a global answer to the contractor. Such an approach involves to shear responsibility between three actors : - Trainees as future experts - Services and operational units of the company - The training organism : Enic TELECOM Lille 1 Traditional skills of the training organisms are not adapted. A specific engineering for training adults is needed. ENIC takes up the challenge. A connection must be made between the different training periods : - mobilization of theoretical knowledge in professional activity - consideration of professional situations in group training periods - training collaboration with tutors (new actors in the process).

7 Practical details First period 1 – Jobs analysis and identification of 12 skills to develop with the units. 2 – Setting up of skills reference lists for each professional situation. 3 – Convergence grid between training modules and professional skills. 4 – Training of tutors (a new responsability for a training organism ).
