18 K-3 Assessment Vision Formative Assessment –A process used by teachers and students during instruction that provides feedback to adjust ongoing teaching and learning to help students improve their achievement of intended instructional outcomes. CCSSO, FAST SCASS, 2008

19 Formative Assessment The K-3 Assessment: –will be used by both teachers and students. –will be ongoing. –will be embedded in daily instruction. –will gather information using multiple means.
