The Primary Purpose of the position Drives the implementation of the EMEA Pricing strategy and Value proposition into the Western Europe organization. Coordinates, manages and ensures integrated pricing waterfalls and channel value proposition in Western Europe markets based on Go-To-Market route and ensue alignment with positioning of panEU accounts – in particular international wholesale – to deliver on the EBIT target commitment in Western Europe. Leads the Western Europe pricing team ( ̴ 15 associates) and coordinates pricing activities in the countries across different geographies ensuring maximum alignment on the pricing strategy across EMEA. Builds and retains pricing expertise and talent in the Western European Pricing Team. Acts as a business partner to cluster PBU team pro-actively looking for business opportunities in Pricing and Revenue Management. Challenges the Sales Team to leverage more “non price” components of the value proposition. Supports and works together with the EMEA Pricing Director to define the EMEA Pricing Strategy. Principle duties and responsibilities Leads the Western European pricing team, including recruitment, selection, skill development, coaching and providing feedback to people with differing goals, objectives, functional backgrounds, and developmental needs in line with corporate objectives and the EMEA Pricing competency model. Defines roles and responsibilities for the members of the Western European pricing team in order to improve interaction and impact with key stakeholders. Supports the Pricing Director and Consumer PBU S&M Director Western Europe in developing the sell-in and sell-out strategy for the cluster. Analyses channel pricing and full channel profitability to recommend appropriate pricing strategies by channel. Supports the Pricing Director and S&M Director in developing the value proposition, drives together with sales capabilities team the execution of value proposition and Sell-out strategies in the countries. Resolves ad-hoc customer / sales organization requests through organizational alignment within the PBU, Western Europe cluster and respective country sales organization. Supports the annual (AOP) and monthly (S&OP/MBR) business planning cycle from a pricing and value proposition perspective – including in depth understanding of business performance, gap closure activities, root cause analysis, corrective actions. To join our team you will need: Faculty degree or above 10 years of experience. Combination of regional and country experience. Good overview of the business (Supply, R&D, Sales and Marketing, Finance) Managed a team or managed complex multifunctional tasks. Experience in commercial function (Sales and/or Marketing). Pricing experience. Creative thinking and problem solving skills with experience in identifying key issues through fact- based quantitative and qualitative analysis and then structuring and evaluating strategic alternatives. Strong analytical skills. Strong leadership. Business and financial acumen. Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong understanding of systems and processes. Awareness and understanding of culture diversity in countries in EMEA.
