2 National Unit for Improving Inclusion Initiated in August 2012. 5 Page 5 Partnerships and support Partnerships with 20 municipalities: Demand-driven support - what do municipalities need support for? A 3-year partnership perspective All municipalities are invited to apply for partnerships The National Support for other municipalities based on questionnaires, surveys and focus group interviews: – Networking, – Conferences, – Seminars, – Website

8 Examples of partnership focus Implementation of policy or strategic goals – the municipalities have a policy, but how do they make the change Coherence of interventions across administrations, between preschool, school and leisure time facilities and between the specialized and general area Qualify the skills of pre-school educators and teachers, in order to provide the framework for inclusive education Ensure ownership throughout the organization – teachers, educators and parents must support inclusion Monitoring and evaluation of interventions Page 8
