2. Tea Party Look at the strip of paper on your desk. When I tell you to, you will get up and talk to at least 10 other people. Read them what is on your strip of paper, and let them read what is on their paper. As you share, try to predict what the poem “Without Title” is about.

3. Without Title Think about the narrator: Is the narrator a man or a woman? How does the narrator feel about the father? How old is the narrator? What does the narrator think of the mother? Where does the narrator live?

4. Without Title Now, think about the father: What does he look like? How does he dress? What does he do for a living? How old is the father? How does he feel about his life? What does it mean that he “lived without ceremony”?
