2 The problem we are having in the upper Midwest is that the wolf population is starting to rise rapidly and overpopulate. They reason why this is a problem is because it brings many dangers to us as people and many other animals as well.

3 The Gray Wolf is an very aggressive animal. It will do everything it can do get what it wants, most of the time. The Gray Wolf is very distinct from its other brothers and sisters in its family. It gets very defensive when it comes to protecting their young and food.

4 Gray Wolves live in packs with up to 8 to 35 of wolves included. The leader of each pack is known as the “Alpha”. Gray wolves mate for life, They mate in the winter and 9 weeks later, baby pups are born. The number of pups can range from 2 – 14. the pups are born blind. Other female wolves help take care of each others young.

5 They are presently spread out Over Michigan's UP, Northern Minnesota and Wisconsin and a large range in Alaska, Canada, Middle East and Asia. They inhabit a variety of biomes in North America including Boreal Forest, temperate deciduous forest and temperate grassland.
